An easy to use service based off of a designed catalogue and responsive website, aimed at Funeral Directors. My Lastings Words offers template based Order of Service. Bereaved families can select a template from a catalogue, and after creating an Order of Service with a celebrant or priest, the Funeral Director can supply My Lasting Words with the text and photographs which are then turned designed, proofed, printed, and delivered.
With a number of selling points, we wanted to engage users with straightforward design which gave the text space. As the business provides both a service and a product, My Lasting Words wanted potential users to experience the quality of both by offering a no commitment free trial. With this in mind we could create a user funnel towards that end.
Having a responsive website (one that works on Desktop and adapts its design to tablet and mobile), whilst a necessity for most businesses, seemed less necessary with a business to business website and, from research, an older target audience. But after setting up Google Analytics services for the businesses existing website, we found a third of all traffic was from mobile users, and the numbers were growing.
With this in mind we knew that a responsive website was vital to future-proofing the business and communicating with My Lasting Words’ entire audience.
